Who we are

Globist (“we”, “us”) provides an AI film production tool at globist.ai. This policy covers the website and the product. Contact us about anything on this page at privacy@globist.ai.

What we collect

Three kinds of data, and nothing else:

  • Account information. When you sign in with Google, our authentication provider receives your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account. We do not receive your Google password, and we request no access to Gmail, Drive, Contacts or any other Google service. If you sign in with an email address instead, we hold only that address.
  • What you create. Premises, scripts, characters, locations, shot descriptions, prompts, uploaded reference images, and the images and video generated from them.
  • Operational records. Credit balance and a ledger of what each generation cost, so usage can be attributed and billed correctly, plus ordinary server logs.

We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or third-party cookies. There is no behavioural profiling of any kind, and we do not sell or share personal information with anyone for advertising.

How Google account data is used

Your name, email address and profile picture are used solely to create and identify your account, show you as signed in, and contact you about your account. That data is not used for advertising, not sold, not shared with third parties for their own purposes, and not used to train any AI model.

Globist’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke our access at any time from your Google account permissions.

Who we send it to

Making a film requires sending your work to the services that generate it. We use the following processors, and no others:

  • Clerk — authentication and account records.
  • Neon — the database holding your projects, hosted in AWS us-east-1.
  • Anthropic — receives your premise, script and prompt text to write and revise scripts and shot breakdowns.
  • Replicate — receives your prompts and reference images to generate stills and video.
  • Cloudflare R2 — stores the generated images and video.
  • Inngest — runs generation jobs in the background; receives record identifiers, not your content.
  • Vercel — hosting and server logs.

Each of these processes data on our instructions in order to run the product. None of them is permitted to use your work for their own purposes, and we do not use your content to train our own models. Where a provider offers its own settings governing model training, we configure them so your content is excluded.

Where data is held

Primary storage is in the United States. If you are in the UK, EU or elsewhere, using Globist means your data is transferred to and processed in the US by the providers listed above.

How long we keep it

Your projects are kept for as long as your account exists. Deleting a project hides it immediately and permanently erases it — along with its generated media — after a 30-day grace period, which exists so an accidental deletion can be undone. Deleting your account removes your projects on the same basis.

Credit ledger entries are retained longer where we need them for billing and accounting records.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Most of it you can act on directly in the product; for anything else, write to privacy@globist.ai and we will action it. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, or to complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our providers, and access to production systems is limited to those who need it. No service can promise perfect security, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.

Children

Globist is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy materially we will say so in the product before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
